Never pay to secure a private-sector job.
Treat demands for deposits, mandatory purchases or payment to release an offer as warning signs. Do not transfer money based only on a listing, message or verification badge.
Do not include banking passwords, one-time codes, Aadhaar details or full identity documents in an initial job application. Verify the business and role through independent channels before sharing additional documents.
Know what a review means.
Company review is a specific check performed by an operator, not a guarantee of employer conduct, salary accuracy or hiring outcome. Sample companies in preview mode are never presented as verified employers.
A successful source check means the source was retrieved. It does not mean the employer personally reconfirmed the vacancy.
Stay in control of your CV.
CVs are private, not publicly searchable. PDF uploads are quarantined and cannot be shared until the configured scanner releases them. A candidate chooses whether to attach a clean CV to an application.
An employer can access only applications for its own jobs. Withdrawing an application blocks new employer CV downloads, but cannot recall files already downloaded.
Report a concern.
Every live job page has a report form. Sign in, explain the concern without including unnecessary sensitive data, and submit it to the review queue. The operator must assess and act on the report.
For urgent threats or suspected crimes, use appropriate local emergency or official reporting channels. JobCenter’s report queue is not an emergency service.
